Our story began long before Brett’s Biltong opened its doors in Texas—it started in Southern Africa, where biltong was a cherished part of family traditions and everyday life. Brett learned the craft standing beside his father in a small kitchen in Rhodesia, where he discovered that authentic biltong is made with patience, quality ingredients, and a commitment to doing things right. After moving to Texas and realizing the real thing was nowhere to be found, we began making small batches using the same cuts, spices, and slow-drying methods passed down through generations, and before long, both South Africans and Texans were lining up for a taste. Today, we’re proud to share our passion through authentic biltong, droëwors, boerewors, South African and British groceries, and other imported favorites that bring a true taste of home to every customer who walks through our doors.
